Board Member

A native of Barnwell, South Carolina Edward Odom, Jr., Immediate Past Board Chair; joined Bridge Streets board in 1997. He retired from Citigroup (Citi Community Development), New York City in February 2019. Mr. Odom held the position of Vice President for the New York Tri-State Region. His responsibilities included working with local and national staff to establish Citi’s leadership role in the community and leverage this role to achieve lending and compliance goals. He developed innovative partnerships with non-profits partners and sponsorship of special events as well as the sourcing of Citi’s grants.

Mr. Odom continues to be active in a variety of organizations dedicated to community revitalization. He is a member and Past Polemarch, Brooklyn/Long Island Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is a 33rd degree Mason, and Honorary Grand Master of Enoch Grand Lodge, State of New York. Mr. Odom is a former member of One Hundred Black Men, NYC. He and his family have been members of Bridge Street AWME Church since 1981. Mr. Odom has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Talladega College, Talladega, Alabama.
