Oma S. Holloway joined Bridge Street in 2015 as Director of Community Engagement and has also served as Senior Program Director, prior to being named COO in January 2022. Oma has over 25 years professional work experience managing youth development, youth workforce, social service programs and services for organizations such as The Door and SCO Family of Services. In addition to her work with the successful implementation and growth of the Opportunity Youth, Work Learn Grow and MYBASE in-school program at Bridge Street, Ms. Holloway has also served as a Training Consultant for the Workforce Development Training Institute, providing training to workforce providers citywide on curriculum development, effective retention strategies, and facilitation techniques, among other topics. As Senior Program Director at Bridge Street, Oma has managed our commercial revitalization and youth workforce development portfolio that includes the growth and expansion of merchant associations on secondary commercial corridors; completing a comprehensive Commercial District Needs Assessment; and, providing technical assistance to small businesses owners. Oma has also secured over 600 paid internships annually for young adults to support local business and nonprofit organizations.
