Housing Development
Our housing development team preserves and builds high quality affordable housing for low- and moderate-income residents. To date we have developed over 600 units of safe, attractive, and affordable housing both for rent and for sale in Central Brooklyn.
We are committed to building housing that is as green and sustainable as possible. Our rehabilitation of Joshua Court (300 Putnam Avenue) included the installation of a green roof and solar panels, and on Noel Pointer Court (790 Lafayette), we employed green building best practices wherever possible including bamboo flooring, water conserving fixtures, energy efficient lighting, and landscaping using drought-resistant native species.
Bridge Street Development Corporation works to maintain an active pipeline of future projects in order to continue to develop and improve upon the affordable housing options offered in Central Brooklyn.
